For anyone skeptical of the system, I have a few things to say...
1) Do you ever wonder the reason Nintendo decided on a March launch in the first place? It's to ensure there will be a decent selection of games by the holiday season. Splatoon 2, Mario Kart, Zelda, Super Mario Odyssey, and plenty of third party support will be there. Nintendo stated 80 games are in development for Switch. To put that into perspective, the Wii U only has 122 retail (boxed) games right now...
2) I've stated this already, but I want to say it again. The Switch doesn't need to be that powerful. Why? Because it has the portability aspect. The question when deciding between multiplatform games changes from "Which version is the best?" to "Which version would be the most convenient for me, and do I want portability?". Also, I can pretty much guarantee that the Switch will be way easier to develop for then the Wii U considering it's actually using "familiar" hardware. More importantly it has official support for Unreal Engine and Unity.
3) Anyone worried about the battery life should keep this in mind. The system charges via USB type C, so portable chargers already exist for the system and most likely could be shared with your smartphone. On top of that it's only a matter of time before a "case charger" is made:
4) For anyone thinking the price tag is too high, wait for it to drop. It always does. To put this in perspective the Switch is the 4th cheapest system at launch after adjusting for inflation.
Right now it looks like I'll have more games for this thing by the end of the year than I do on my Xbone. I'm not entirely sure if that says much though...
Did I miss anything?
tl;dr Plenty of games, easier development is more important than power, options for battery life, wait for the price to drop.
EDIT: Added 4th statement to the list.
