Me too. Even though the GC took a beating, financially speaking, Nintendo threw a lot of IP behind it. It's no wonder that you look at the game collecting market for GC games, and prices have exploded. Just the disc alone for Melee will cost you $50. FE: Path of Radiance will set you back $85 for the disc. Nintendo's GC games are some of the most collectible and expensive these days, so I think that's a testament to Nintendo's early 2000s, even if spreadsheets showed them "losing" the console wars.
