I'm obviously brand new and new to Gamecube emulation with Dolphin, period. I have the emulator working perfectly on my computer and it's playing all of my games really well. Everything is smooth, my computer seems able to handle any Gamecube game I throw at it. However, I'm having a serious problem with NHL Hitz Pro. The game loads fine, plays buttery smooth, but it freezes every single time I score a goal. As soon as the command "Y Be the Cameraman" shows up, the game freezes up. I feel like I've messed with quite a few settings and nothing seems to work. I've tried the game under OpenGL, Direct3D 11 and Direct3D 12. The game freezes no matter what. I am currently using the stable version of Dolphin 5.0. I tried to download the latest developmental version yesterday and it was a complete disaster. I couldn't even load into a game without it locking up and giving me error messages. Anyone have any tips? I tried the game threads, but there wasn't one for NHL Hitz Pro, so I came here. For what it's worth, NHL Hitz 2003 runs perfectly without any problems at all. Any help would be awesome. Thanks!

Try the latest development version, 5.0 is basically 4 years old now and is missing a ton of fixes, updates, patches and enhancements... which make the dev build more stable than the "stable" build. You can download it from here: https://dolphin-emu.org/download/

Thanks for the tip. Unfortunately, I'd already tried that and just tried it again. The development build is actually worse. I get an error message as soon as a game tries to start, I ignore it, the game runs at 50ish FPS instead of 60, and I still get the same freezing glitch as soon as a goal is scored.

Can you verify the dump of your game? 1. Right click the game in your Dolphin gamelist 2. Click Properties 3. Click the Verify tab 4. Click Verify Integrity 5. Report back with the results I'm gonna check my dump on the latest version as well (if I can find it, it should be somewhere backed up on one of my external drives)

Which also says it is a good dump and has the exact same issue except mine is a white and unclickable Question box, so it actually completely crashed Dolphin. I'm currently looking into it. EDIT: Strange, now it just boots without any issue, haven't changed anything. Game runs at 60FPS all the time, except after a goal, then the replay plays at 40ish FPS. (But I do have a beastly PC: i9 9900k @5.0GHz, 2x8GB DDR4 @3400MHz CL16 and a heavily overclocked RTX2080ti (avg. 2010MHz on GPU and 16GHz on VMEM)
