Apps should be able to set the resolution of their target surface rather than just using the native res...

I know it's a good trick to go for...i am not root yet but i planned to of course. But even with that without good optimization it won't be enough to only drop ppi.
Did pull #1665 help speed things up on the Nexus 9?
i.e. basically anything 4.0-4561 (apk) or later. 12-18-2014, 05:26 PM
It would have if Dolphin ran on the Nexus 9 without modifications to allow it to work around Android bugs.
Currently working around the issue locally with an ugly hack. 12-18-2014, 06:33 PM

I tested Version 4.0-4742 today on my Nexus 9 today. It seams 5-10% faster than 4.0-4250 when playing Mario Kart. The only problem I'm experiencing is random crashes in the newer version, sometimes when in the game menu and sometimes after the countdown at the beginning of a race. Any settings i should enable/disable?

Now works without crashing And SSBM jumped from 5 to 30 fps in battle, Crashes when quiting and crashes sometimes and finishing(and winning!!) A battle Great work, I'd love to help anyways possible but I'm only with the system side of android and not app coding(or emulation) EDIT: lol I look like such an amatuer on here... 12-21-2014, 09:59 PM

Neat way to get around the OpenGL (ES) function pointers. 4.0-4758 (apk) works like a charm. 12-22-2014, 04:55 PM
Hardly worth bothering fixing the issues when it turns out the device doesn't support native access to external USB storage.
