I see the Nexus 9 is popular, but what about the Nexus 6?

CPU: Snapdragon 805 processor
GPU: Adreno 420

I have been thinking about getting it, but have no clue how it performs with the current dolphin build.
Looking at these performance benchmarks:
Code:
http://www.phonearena.com/news/Nexus-9-storms-through-Geekbench-Tegra-K1-outperforms-Apple-iPhone-6s-A8_id61825
I see that the single-core performance is low, but comes back with great multi-core.
But I'm not sure how it would handle graphically either..
Code:
http://au.ibtimes.com/articles/570388/20141022/nexus-9-nvidia-tegra-k1-beats-6.htm#.VKJE-F4DKw

It appears that the Google Nexus 9 is better in every way than the Nexus 6... for gaming that is.
Even in retail price...

I suppose I'll begin my own analysis of the matter myself when I get it, unless someone has any insight on it.

Honestly I would would wait for the new Note 4 coming out that has the Snapdragon 810 in it. It's apparently coming out next month.

Nexus 6 won't be much better than the Nexus 5.
The CPU clock speed boost won't really affect emulation speed since it's the video drivers blocking performance.
If the Galaxy S6 has a Snapdragon 810 then that is probably the next Qualcomm device I'll be purchasing...If it has Android 5.0 for Arch64 support.
Probably won't be much better, but it would be a good test bed for Cortex-A50 and Adreno 430.

Is Qualcomm using the same driver stack for Adreno 3 and 4?  It seems like everything is identical minus the small feature additions.  On the same note,  if they are the same does that mean the 300 series can still improvements?

The driver stack is the same, just some minor changes and improvements to bring along the new features.
Native 64bit value support, required features for GLES3.1, executing 16 instructions per cycle versus 4. These are all relatively minor improvements to the architecture.
It'll be interesting if the a3xx series gets any major new features.

I just poked around the snapdragon forums, and apparently Qualcomm is having a "minor" issue where only 3.0 + AEP is available.  Which isn't even supposed to be possible.  GG Qualcomm.

Yep. Which is why in a few places in the Dolphin codebase where we should only need to check for AEP support, we instead have to check for both GLES 3.1 and AEP support.
Qualcomm fails are always the best.

It's not hard to be the best when your only competition is Intel and AMD Wink. Then again Google puts up a good fight. So I suppose it's a fair competition.

I hope the Adreno 500 isn't another broken launch,  or I'm actually gonna boycott Qualcomm.
