*sigh* kirbypuff, please stop making things up and speaking to others as though it's fact...

There are currently no plans for anything after 5.0, and whatever the next release is going to be, it will not be soon!

But it is almost, so why don't we skip the run around and get to the point. Eventually it will be released and its inevitable to deny it. However, speaking out of actual facts is a valid point.

Yes.

If I understood correctly, it supports every features included before the 4.0-6727 version. Correct?

That's correct.

Once 5.0-final is released, a minor update will follow that should (hopefully) add:
* an official Dolphin benchmark
* the aspect ratio accuracy improvements
* EFB scaling for partial textures
* more bugfixes

Sorry for asking again, but is the "EFB scaling for partial textures" the fix I was talking about in commit 4.0-7072 which gives the coins in NSMB the animated HD texture?

Yes. Don't believe what kirbypuff wrote in that post, though. The only thing in it that isn't wild speculation is that the things in the list won't be in 5.0 (other than "more bugfixes", I guess).

After 5.0 is released, the minor update will be a dolphin button which makes a dolphin jump out of your computer at full force, knocking you unconscious.

Please use with caution.

That's not how it works. The development team's intentions are that there will not be a "minor release" (5.0.1) and such a release would be a failure of bug checking. If such a release is made, like 4.0.1 and 4.0.2 it will be 5.0 plus necessary bugfixes, and would not have new features! His present language, "Once 5.0-final is released, a minor update will follow that should (hopefully) add:" is completely incorrect, yet stated as fact. And the "hopefully" was added after my post!

EDIT: Because of his editing habit, here's kirbypuff's post entirely (as of this writing) in case he edits it again.

IIRC the only reason 4.0 had minor revisions was because of critical bugs that was missed.

Awesome! I love the benchmark Idea!!

I have to say though, why do we even need a stable release? The dev builds seem stable enough to me and kick serious behind! Big Grin
