Yeah, I don't think it won't let me update anything anymore. It just says it's loading but it never does. It's been a couple of hours and it still hasn't done anything...

It might well just be that it's trying to do a year's worth of updates and that can take a while.

Actually, that's a known issue with Windows 7. I had the exact same problem. Windows released a patch update to fix it. After installing, you should be able to check for updates

AFAIK you must have Service Pack 1 on top of your Windows 7 install to properly install Visual C++ 2015. We should probably make that more clear in the FAQ, by the way...
