Newer dev builds "failed to compile v/p shader", opengl only

First of all, I did see the part about the "outdated GPU" on the error message, and I know my graphic card (HD 7570) is not the most powerful card of the bunch. But it did work on Dolphin on past versions, at least on 4.0-4235 it still does.

On newer dev builds (currently using 4.0-4901), running any games with OpenGL backend gives me a bunch of error messages of the "failed to compile vertex/pixel shader" variety, while on D3D they boot just fine.

So, I wanted to know if this is a bug with Dolphin or something intentional. If it's the later, then what changed? I am on Windows 7 x64, btw.

Thanks in advance.

I never bothered to update drivers before since I never had any driver related issues ever. So please humor me with this follow-up question: why?

You probably don't support some newer feature that Dolphin now uses because your driver is outdated?

I don't know Radeon driver numbers by heart, so I can't be sure, but if it's old enough, that's definitely possible. Also, newer drivers tend to be faster.

Version 8.911.0.0 ? That's an old driver from 2011!
It doesn't support the OpenGL extensions required to run the latest Dolphin dev builds.
To get support for the latest OpenGL extensions, you need a GPU driver update.

The latest version is 14.501.1003.1001 (Catalyst 14.12 Omega)

Update your driver now:
