Sorry to clutter the board with the type of message that you must get really often but a few things have come to my attention since I downloaded Dolphin and I was wondering if anyone can help.

My computer specs are listed below:
AMD Athlon II X2 240 2.79Ghz
3.25GB of DDR3 RAM
512mb ATI Radeon HD 5700 Series Graphics Card
Windows XP
Dolphin 2.0

I've attempted to play P.N.03, Tales of Symphonia and Ikaruga with varying results. P.N.03 runs flawlessly so far, Tales plays well but the intro video runs extremely slowly and the sound lags like crazy and Ikaruga loads fine but I get only a black screen when the game should begin.

I've tried to tweak settings advertised on this and other sites but so far I don't seem to be getting much joy with either Ikaruga or improving Tales.

Are these problems related to my PC quality? It seems strange to me that a game like P.N.03 can perfectly and games such as Ikaruga or Tales carry problems.

If anyone can help me get them running perfectly, put me in the right direction or point out my/my computers failings I would greatly appreciate it.

Cheers in advance.

Your computer is not the problem. Hardware only impacts speed not accuracy. You need to look up the game threads using the search function in the game discussion forum: http://forums.dolphin-emu.org/forum-8.html

Bottom right corner if you can't find it. Read through the threads and ask questions. The problem either lies with the emulator (it hasn't been fixed yet) or your settings (it can be fixed but you are using the wrong settings).

Thanks for the speed reply. I'll try and do a bit more research. It's took a load of my mind though, knowing my PC is capable enough. Cheers.

I didn't say it was capable of playable performance. I just said that any accuracy problems are unrelated.

Does it appear powerful enough to play most games or am I wasting my time then? I tweaked some settings and I had certain games running up to 300% game speed until I applied audio throttle or something similar. Is that a good sign?

Some games will run fine. But a lot of 1st party games will not.

I don't have time to post a long reply, but you have decent enough hardware to play some games well. Just look at the specs in my sig and I am able to play some games well. If you were to use the right settings and depending on the game and even the right Dolphin build, you should be able to play some games fine as well. More games than I can play well, that's for sure.

Maybe someone else will provide more info.

Yes that computer should be playing games just fine. Make sure you're using the latest revision.
