I just found Dolphin and played around with it last night. I had it run nicely on my laptop except the best in-game speed I could get was 70% for Wii
I gave it a go on my desktop PC but it only has an Intel intergrated graphics processor so there was no chance there.
My question is whether getting a gfx card on the lower end of what's listed in the cards that Dolphin likes might make it run smoothly on my desktop PC as while the desktop is older than the laptop, apart from gfx power it is more powerful in every other way.
The desktop is
2.4ghz Core 2 Duo
3gb RAM
running Win XP
I don't game on the PC at all so would only bother updating the gfx card if it will make Dolphin run Wii smoothly. From what I have read the CPU and RAM seem sufficient, could anyone with experience give me an idea whether getting a new vid card would be worthwhile?
I have had a look and for what I'm happy to spend to get this working I could get something like a GeForce 7100, would that be sufficient?
If not, any suggestions?
