As title says my new wiimote wont connect to dolphin in the wiimote settings it will say 1 connected but all that happens is the 4lights on it flash and thats it. The wiimote I had before this one worked fine and still does it just has a loose battery terminal and turns off with movement.
In this picture dolphin says 2 connected (red is old wiimote black is new one)

The black is one of the ones that ends in TR and I have tried to get it to work for about 2 hours now with no luck, can anyone point me in the right direction?
Oh and BTW the wiimote does work on a real wii so it's not faulty.

This isn't relevant. All Wiimotes are made to work on a Wii, old models or new models, official or unofficial.

"TR" models tend to work painfully with Dolphin. You should try Toshiba stack.

Btw is your Wiimote an official model or a 3rd party one? 3rd party Wiimotes usually suck. It might also be the cause

It's a genuine Nintendo one, I thought I would mention that it did work just before anyone said "are you sure it's not faulty" I have tried the Toshiba stack with no luck but at that point I was really impatient and pi***d off. Would it be worth keeping the TR one or should I just return it and try find one of the older models?

Yeah If you can find an older model (non-TR model) don't hesitate. But try to get an official one

For now I'm keeping it as it seems to work fine but if it gives me issues in the future it's going back. Hopefully I won't need to do that as I'm sure a lot of the "official" ones on eBay will be cheap Chinese clones disguised as the real thing.

Can I ask what reason you would have to run the homebrew channel in dolphin? It can start up any homebrew itself.

It's from my Wii's nand dump.
