New to dolphin. Would love your help

New to the forums and Dolphin.

Straight to the point Rolleyes

I have a Vaio f11 with the following specs.
Cpu: Intel Core i7 (1.6 Ghz and 2.8 Ghz turbo boost)
RAM: 4GB of a 1333 Mhz
GPU: Nvidia gt 330m ( 1gb of dedicated gddr3 memory )

Only two games I have played Zelda Wind Waker and Super Mario sunshine. Both are running at an average of 27-30 fps with the direct 9 plugin and efb copy to texture. However if the performance can improve then why not?

My memory is upgradeable up to 8 GB but I would like to know how much difference the upgrade would make.

Alright , thanks for the info :\ and what would be the most important piece of hardware for dolphin , the gpu or cpu in my case ?

Try the latest development build:

Make sure you have all that stuff like Dual Core, copy to texture, etc. The DX11 plugin is the least buggy and the fastest for me.

I'm pretty sure the CPU is more important in Dolphin once you have a decent enough graphics card (which you seem to have).

That CPU should have enough juice too... are you sure it clock that high when you're playing with dolphin? are you using ssa?

Thankyou very much for your answers. Nope I haven't used latest build I was using dolphin offical 2.0 release. I will give it a try and see how it goes with super mario sunshine. I forgot to mention I am playing this game with efb copy to RAM becuase of the goo glitch on the game. I don't beleive mymgpu supports d11 but I will give it a try. As for noan , I have no clue of what is ssa Huh

Ooh and use EFB Copy To Texture :p. I think your problem is fixed in the newest version of Dolphin?

Thanks for the ssa info. I am using the latest revision thanks to avindra and it's working very well. Currently , I am using the direct 3d9 plugin atm becuase the direct 3d 11 makes dolphin crash after I press start and game goes to the file selection screen in Super Mario Sunshine. But the game is running at 30 fps 99% of the time Big Grin

. It would be good to know what is causing this bug with the direct 3d 11 plugin tho Undecided
