I just want to make sure that what I plan on doing is ethical and possible.

  1. Are all games up-scalable to 1080p?
  2. Are there 2D filters that can be applied to 2D games.
  3. Is there a way to use my 360 (windows compatible) controller for games that use the wiimote. IE: Super Mario Sunshine
  4. My computer doesn't recognize my GameCube discs, is there anyway around this. I am against downloading ISO's.
  5. Will my PC even be capable of 1080p game play?
  6. Is it legal to create my own iso's to store on my hard drive to make load times faster?

I am just a gamer that hates the wiimotes, and would prefer playing games on the 360 controller, the upgraded graphics are just a bonus.

Thanks for the help, sorry I'm such a newb.

Sorry for double post: Could't figure out how to edit my original message, I thought my stats would automatically be included.

1. yes
2. yes/no not directly ... increasing the internal resolution and enabling ssaa gives them a way better look which is enough
3. yes you can play every game which are using the gc or classic controller...
some wiimote games are also playable with gamepad... and some other are to complicated and there is no funny without wiimote.. (skyward)
4. http://forums.dolphin-emu.org/showthread.php?tid=2900
5. with your PC every game will be playable at full speed (maybe a little few buggy games not at full speed, they would need sandybridge 5ghz++)
6. yes

Thanks so much for your quick reply. I just wanted to make sure what I'm doing was legal and worth the hassle! Wish I could rep you!

Is there a list of games that are to complicated to use anything but the wiimote? I hate the wiimote so much, I tend to avoid any game that isn't a party game with motion controls.

1. Not really. Some games show glitches when playing at non-native resolutions; also, a couple of games require real XFB emulation which will automatically limit Dolphin to native resolution.
2. Yes, you can enable the "force filtering" option in the graphics settings. It'll cause glitches in some games though.

Thanks. I just realized I could force filters/effects from my card in windows, so that's worth a shot. You guys have been very helpful, thanks.

Also keep in mind that 3D games can be rendered at a higher resolution, not just upscaled, by adjusting the internal resolution.
