Hey all, just got dolphin and its pretty awesome so far, just had a few questions I'm hoping somebody can answer

1. Testing it out on a little super smash brawl, it runs great 90% of the time but there are some pretty hard stutters that don't seem to simply be performance issues. Anyway to get rid of these?

2. Currently using a PS2 controller but have a pile of GC wavebird controllers sitting around, is there any good adapter i can purchase to use with dolphin?

3. Are there any options to tweak to increase performance or visual quality that arn't enabled by default? i set internal res to 2x but that's it.

Thanks!

What are your specs? If you post them we may be able to provide feedback. Mainly the cause of stuttering is because isn't running at 100% consistently throughout some areas (may be areas tthat are more demanding than others due to game effects) your CPU could aslo be throtling because of heat issues, or your GPU may be setting a bottleneck for some areas. As far as the controller it is far beter to buy a bluetooth dongle and play with your wii remote and nunchuk, it will save you a lot of trouble with wii games (esoecially motion controls), as far as visual quality goes you can change the screen resolution and internal resolution, as well as anti-aliasing and anisotropic filtering, as well as setting EFB copy to scale for a more crisp image
The right man in the wrong place can make all the difference in the world.

3570k running at 4ghz with a 2gb GTX 670, both are running well below overheat temps.

Not really interested in games that require wiimote, just mainly smash, mario kart and possibly some others that can be played with a controller.

You shouldn't have any problem in Brawl. The first time you play stages with transitions, it may have some minor stuttering during the first time it transitions, but the more you play the stages that should stop happening.

Go online and look for the Mayflash GC adapter. That's the best (I believe)

It says laptop, but the Power options and settings refer to a desktop also: https://forums.dolphin-emu.org/Thread-unofficial-laptop-performance-guide

Just to clarify the mayflash works with the wireless wavebirds as well right?

Mayflash has issues. The only device that doesn't is Blissbox, which is made by Ulao (a user of these forums). It's pretty expensive, though.
OS: Windows 10 64 bit Professional
CPU: Intel i5 4670K @3.4GHz... for now @4.6GHz with a quick and dirty (yet stable) OC. May get faster in a bit before the end of time.
RAM: 16GB (Down from 24 GB after some was given to siblings)
GPU: Radeon Vega 56
