if it were as easy as wii <--> emu <--> wiimote we would have already done it. if you want a better understanding then you need to look at the source. as for the topic, lets stay on it. There is a patch that makes it work with the hle plugin but it makes it so sound doesnt work. Instead of releasing said patch, we would rather fix it correctly. its not at the top of the list but its been looked at.

For the record, I'm using an emulated wiimote (x360 pad and Xpadder) and I have never had a problem with losing controller functionality. I've played ALOT and never had this problem - so it is exclusive to the "real" wiimote users! Smile

Exciting news about the patch though, even though it's not "ideal", it would still be a huge improvement and less hassle for all us to use, even if it doesn't have sound still. Oh well, I'm just glad you guys are focusing on that. Can't wait!!!

That gave me an idea, to actually change the default settings of the Wiimote, to turn off "Use real Wiimote" and "Connect real Wiimote". Well it was a good try, but it always pops up after a while:

At least I learned how to get the direction keys to work, by enabling "Sideways D-pad" Big Grin


Other than that, I tried to hack the game to find a way to make it stop hanging, but all I was able to find was turn the yellow Toad into blue:

Patch: Offset: 800E4E78 DWORD Value: 60000000.

That can help when playing 4 players Wink

But do look around...maybe you find some nasty nastyness in the code that's responsable for our favourite loop issue Smile

Anyone eles have the problem where the game will freeze if you do the toad panel powerup Thing? As Soon as I Match a bowser or kid bowser it Just freezes lol. ( I try to avoid them as much as possible because of this lol)

But Other then that the game runs pretty good on the HLE-PLugin ( If you can get the controlls to work loading the save state)

And just like everyone eles has said, can't wait for a Patch Or Some work to be done to the looping intro video lol Big Grin

i thought it was a full freeze too but last time i tried i left it hanging for about a minute and it continued. be patient and wait it out.
