[New Super Mario Bros] Getting the controls right, help?

Hi, so I am trying to get the controllers right to play this game fully, but I'm not managing to get all the parts right here.
The controller I'm using is an Xbox One controller and this is emulating the Wii.


What I am not getting is how to get this combination right with the control options, anyone have any insight on this?
Any help will be greatly appreciated
