None of the programs are ready for public release; the builds of both emulators I was using were experimental and prone to crashing if not used for this specific purpose, and only worked on limited hardware.

Basically: It's not ready for public use because of the immaturity of the Higan Core along with Dolphin's own incompatibility with most GBA <-> GCN linking games.

The video is a teaser to show that it will be working better than VBA-M + Dolphin once the new system is finished. It's more or less a proof of concept to show what's being worked on. It did say demo in the thread, and I said in the first post that it wasn't available, and in the description of the video.

Hm, ok ...
Then I wait.
And I've a request to you. If you edit Higan, can you make it so, that everybody can open the game direct from the GBA-file and use the save game direct from the SAV-file, please?
Note: If you save the game in VBA... it will only be saved when you close the game. Do you edit Higan so too or will it be saved immediately even if the game is still opened?

Thank you!

Not available?

Or maybe I understood something wrong.

And also I asked, how to use the BIOS. Where must it be and what file name must it have?

PS: Sorry for my bad English.

The build of Higan was modified to connect to Dolphin, and beyond that was modified to run more games due to bugs it had.

Base builds of Higan will not connect to Dolphin.

The whole point of the video was to show people who have been waiting for GBA <-> GCN support that didn't suck that it was possible, and would eventually happen in the future. It wasn't to disappoint them or torment them, but rather to show a feature that wouldn't be done for a long time, but that it was being worked on.

Ok! But I can't understand how you could connect Higan with Dolphin while "MegaMan X Command Mission" is running in Dolphin because while "MegaMan X Command Mission" is running in Dolphin I can't connect VBA-M with Dolphin. Dolphin runs how ever (as fast as without connection to a GBA-emu) and VBA-M does hang up (only at "MegaMan X Command Mission"). It couldn't even open a file.

By the way ...

No it doesn't make more sense. As someone making their own GBA emulator right now (yeah, baseline work is underway) I can tell you that creating or integrating an existing GBA emulator is not trivial in the least. Additionally, maintainence would be an issue (a pretty big one in fact). It's more work than needs to be done when the current solution (two different emulators) poses no major issues.

Yes, I'm the same opinion because everybody should see his own GBA-display because it's not allowed to watch the display of the opponents (example: the cards on a hand of the opponents in a card game or the power points of an opponent Pokémon). Maximum one GBA-display in a GC-emu is ok but the other GBA-displays must run in a GBA-emu or an other GC-emu with a connection to the GC-emu which is the server.
What do you think?

The current VBA-M support sucks. I don't even know which emulator to blame, that's why shuffle2 started fresh with Higan and a new way of communicating between emulators.

This is amazing! Is this taking into consideration the multiplayer games which opposing players are not allowed to look at the GBA screen ('Pacman vs.', for example)? Since it is still early in development, perhaps we could use an android phone/tablet for the GBA screen/input? Possibly even a Wii U controlpad when it is thoroughly hacked?
