I noticed about 2fps increase between 5982 and 5999 (in the favour of the latter), using the exact identical settings. Are you sure you don't have something enabled you didn't use previously

For the 500 revs after Dolphin 2.0 i experienced some speed loss after accuracy improvements, however with the latest revs' optimizations, most games are the fastest ever for me in the latest r6000.

I've also noticed that dolphin is slower now even in games like supermario bros! I prefer speed than accuracy, because if the game is too slow it's unplayable!

But then you are prone to bugs, crashes, graphical, and sound issues that can potentially break games just because you preferred to have a few extra FPS over accuracy and stability. Technically svn builds aren't meant for end users or for playing games anyways, this is the norm of the development process for any emulator. Let them focus on accuracy and fixing issues first, and then optimize later on when appropriate.

And for the last time finalmars is only referring to the last 10 - 15 revisions causing performance issues, not the speed issues that arose since the official 2.0 version or whatever.

Ahem, New Super Mario Bros runs full speed here with my Core2Duo E8500, it is only slower with Copy EFB to Ram enabled. Either you mis-configured something or processes are using the cpu while you are playing. Check to see if you have Copy EFB to Ram enabled and switch it to texture instead, I also recommend downloading one of mine or Lectrode's SSE4.1 optimized builds for your processor since it nets an extra 5 FPS - 10 FPS or so in NSMB with Copy EFB to Ram enabled.

With revision 6000 game resident evil 0 got black screen after prologue....

Settings:
DX9:
1680x1050, vsync , 16 ats filtering, bilinear filtering, copy to texture - rest is disabled
Both OpenCL and without it.
Jit compiler.

EDIT: It doesent happen when i disable vsync, it works, but... every 2-3 sec little lag occurs, in any game i try.
EDIT 2: It happens only on Resitent evil 0 (both GC and WII - NTSC-U)

EDIT 3: Games New Super Mario Bros and Soul Calibur 2, works perfect, even with vsync

For the accuracy vs. speed argument: Computers are getting faster and faster, modern computers can already get fullspeed in Dolphin, so the whole argument is becoming obsolete. Basically what some people are asking is for development to be stalled as long as they're keeping their slow old computer... it's silly

Yeah, it's just like the people who expect to play Crysis and other modern games on their slow outdated rigs. Emulation isn't as free as some would like to believe it is, PC gaming is headed down that road as well now. Tongue

I've got a core i7 860 (see below) and i've downloaded the 5968 sse 4.2! and the 5248 by Morka (french version) is faster. And version under 5000 is also faster. For stability, when i press esc, the 5968 crashes each time! I only prefer the wiimote plugin with auto re/disconnection. I'm not a beginner, i know perfectly how to configure dolphin for my games... The question is : if we have to wait 3 years because the cpu will be faster, better buy on ebay for 15€ a wii, because there will be surely a new console by nintendo at this time!

Don't get me wrong, i'm supporting the programmers who make a very good job. But for me, the gameplay is more important than a little smoke or reflect in the left right corner of the screen. I prefer 50 fps than 30fps in an action/arcade game!

Someone has perhaps a solution for smackdown vs raw 2010 to get faster with 6000+ version?

By modern computer, what do you mean?
I have a Q6600@3.0Ghz and most Dolphin games aren't running at full speed, it's even far from it Wink
I wouldn't be against a super fast version of the emulator with few glitches if I would be able to run most games at full speed.

The dev's goal is to make emulation as much accurate as possible. End of story. Optimisation should be taken as a gift. And if you complain, than you try to code and make it better.
