There is a way it could help you, overclocking your processor. But, before doing this, take in mind that you will have to deal with kind of unpleasant CPU temps.

There are plenty of ways. The most used are the following:

1) Using the BIOS setup (the most known, of course).

2) Using any third-party overclocking program (more dangerous and harmful for the system, but also helps).

Make sure to speed up the fans (that can also be done with both ways I showed you in this entry).

Why would that be harmful to your system?

It modifies the exact same microcode.

What site? Show me a link to where you got it.

I said it´s harmful since it´s not licensed, approved or recomended by your PC or motherboard manufacturer in most of the cases.

In my netbook i can't overclock the E-450 APU, apparantly due to a hardcoded limitation in the bios/chipset. CPU-Z will show higher clockspeeds, but they are not real. It might be different if you have a desktop version, but i doubt it.

Neither is BIOS overclocking.
