Hey wondering if anyone could help me with this :

I just got a new monitor "LG UltraGear 27GN750-B 244hz with G-synch and which has 3 levels of response time : normal - fast - faster, whenever I set it to faster I have huuge issue whenever there are movements .. the characters double themself and colors fluctuate weirdly. Plus the screen flash at each impact way too much. If I set it to normal it is fine but I do have some fps drop IG with slippi. On Others dolphin games, the screen casually flashes randomly either I use or not the g-synch / the response time tool
I was wondering if there was a special setting to have or if it just the screen that has a deffect and sadly just return it.

On non dolphin games it seems to be mostly fine, even tho I still can notice some small colors fluctuations, but that's managable for my eye.

Here are some screens to illustrate the issue :

edit : I should specify that the alimentation cable had not the take required so I used an adapter in order to plug it. I don't know if it may cause issues with the screens.

The faster setting is probably an overdrive, and from the looks of that screenshot it's one that's exceeding the panel's ability to refresh. If that's the case, then there is nothing to really do about that as that setting is pushing up against the limitations of the display. If it bothers you, don't use it. As for the flashes and the "fps drop" whatever that means, I have no way to know what those could be just from your description and images alone.

Also this is not really a Dolphin problem so this doesn't really belong in Dolphin Support. Melee is just doing something that is making the issue more apparent.

I think what you're experiencing is Ghosting.
This is a common side effect of very-fast response time, I don't think your monitor have a defect.
The fact that Slippi is dropping frames is very strange. Does your monitor supports G-Sync at 60 fps ? You can also try setting your display refresh rate at 60Hz on Windows.
You can also try playing without any Sync setting. Screen Tearing should be almost invisible at 240Hz.
From France with love.

Thank you guys for your answers ! Based on them I think I'll just not use those response time features at all. If no one can use them I don't lose any edge by not having them which is fine.

@DrHouse64 Yeah it supports G-synch at 60 it's quite an end one from what I get..
I'll try to set the windows refresh rate at 60Hz see if it works. I already tried to play without synch tho and it still had some flashes on others games than melee..
I was also used to play an Internal Resolution of 2.5x, I'll try to lower it .. I don't know if having 2 monitors now instead of one before may be too rough for my graphic card. It handled it pretty well before
