Heeeeeello everybody :-)

I'm just really new at this page and just downloaded The Dolphin Emulator 3.0-692 (with seems to be the latest version) to replay the game : The Legend of Zelde - The WindWaker.

But when i start the game (well... trying to) there pops up a shader issue.

So i googled the problem and heard of the Pixel Shader 2.0 which is required to run the emulator.

So i checked my Grafic-Hardware ( ATI Radeon x600) with seems to support the shader 2.0 :-)

But to be honest.

I have no idea if I'm using the right file of the game.

A friend of mine gave me some (weird name).iso, which can be found by the emulator, but im not sure if its right that way, because it seems to me, that its a kind of broken file....

I really hope someone can help me out....

And if you need mir specific informations, simply tell me :-)

Saludos!

Make sure to post all of your PC specs, since this issue seems related to your GPU. Try updating your drivers. If that doesn't work, could be that your GPU doesn't fully support Pixel Shader 2.0, and Dolphin's complaining because it's trying to use features that are unimplemented, but that seems unlikely imo. Alternatively, you can disable Panic Handlers in Configuration->Interface, and see if the game plays fine anyway. If all else fails, your GPU is just too outdated for Dolphin.

Dolphin needs more than PS2.0 anyway.

Really? That's interesting. I guess the Google Code page for Dolphin has since been outdated (makes sense, code's changing all the time). Just curious, but what does Dolphin need now anyway?

If I remember correctly, our shaders require more constant registers than what PS2.0 cards can provide. The commit message for 252093295b24c7fdb98ff19b72b2b4c67396d29f has more details.

PS2.0a to 2.0c specify the same amount of constant registers. You need PS3.0 to be sure that your card will support more than 32 constant registers.
