When I save my game ( in menu quick save ), its not saved, but the initial save ( after the intro ) did save? I'm guessing beating a castle will also save.

Ok castle save yes or no, worked. I guess its just manual saves?

Are you aware of the games' quick save mechanism? when you make a quick save you should see a balloon ontop of your save file and that quick save can only be accessed once, so making a quick save and going to the menu, loading that quick save and quitting without saving again thinking you saved earlier will not work, you have to quick save everytime you wish to quit without accessing the quick save before turning off dolphin

What do you mean by "in menu quick save"? Do you mean the ingame menu or Dolphin's menu?

If the latter is the case, you can't use Dolphin's state save functionality to use the game's save functionality. Dolphin's state save functionality is separate and you need to use Dolphins's load state functionality to actually load a saved state.
