Bumping for Shonumi's testing reports?
Having looked a bit further into possible alternatives, I still think the Dell Inspiron 15 is the best choice for me (figured a 17'' display would be too big for practical purposes), if that Intel GPU manages to render things fine in Dolphin.

Fwiw, an Intel HD 3000 plays everything just as well on 4.0- 1234 (i.e. no graphical glitches). Used OpenGL on both my laptop and the family desktop (Intel HD4400 and HD 3000 respectively). So unless Mesa doesn't have good Haswell support, I don't think you have much to worry about with this new laptop.
