I can configurate the GamePad but when I launch a game the plugin always forgets my gamepad and does not read input from it anymore. I can go back to the plugin configuration dialog and mess with the device and input comes back but when I go out of the dialog and come back the connection is lost again. Mind to fix this as otherwise this plugin is useless.

Same problem here. Tested with SMS. I can config the plugin but when i close the config window(Save), the plugin configuration dont work ingame (stops).

I need to launch the game, minimize and change between keyboard and usb joystick in the plugin config for activate it Sad.

Bye.

Using the latest revision hence whatever version is included there. As far as I get from the forum post the SVN one is the latest so this would mean it is the latest one which is broken.

If you could maybe make a video demonstrating the problem, that would help me fix it.
Right now your problem doesn't make much sense. :p

Can't make a video of it since it doesn't get that far. Put simple this is the problem:
1) go to pad configuration
2) setup pad (assign buttons for example, the red test button fields light up when I press the pad buttons)
3) leave configuration dialog (saves)
4) go back to pad configuration OR start a game
=> Result: pad is not responding. red button lamps in the config gui are not responding. pad is totally not responding in the game.

I know this isn't a solution, but does it begin to work if you hit the Refresh button by the device selection box?

I think so but not always. At last in the dialog itself it works again when I reselect the pad from the dropdown list. In the game though the pad is still not recognized no matter if I start fresh and lanuch the game or go into the dialog, make the pad respond and launching the game. In all case the pad is not responding.

If you could answer these few questions it will help me fix the prob:
1. When you start a game and open the pad config, is your device shown in the dropdown list?
2. If no, while running a game, after hitting Refresh, is the device in the list now?
3. While a game is running, choose that device, if you can. Hit a "+" button. Is the list filled with "Button 0", "Button 1"....?
4. Are you able to assign buttons in the config when a game is running? Do the red lamps turn on?

1. It is shown
3. If I open the dialog and hit "+" then there are no entries in the list. If I re-select the device from the from the list and hit "+" there are entries.
4. Right after opening the dialog, no, not possible. Re-selecting the device it is possible.

After starting the game nothing works. If I re-select the device then it works also in the game. Once I stop the game and start it again the same problem happens.
