Yeah N64 is great, after all these years Project64 1.6 is working great.
With all the latest 1.6.1 plugins from Jabo and Glide64 Final (10th Anniversary) for Paper Mario and Star Wars: Shadows of the Empire, the RDB updates etc. it's working even better. And Project64 have worked beautifully ever since Pentium 4, heck might even say Pentium 3 although not fullspeed maybe. I have never had a crash or hang with 1.6, 1.5 I had several but that was with a Pentium 3 and a crappy ATi card (11-13-2012, 12:25 AM)Duke Nukem Wrote: I hope you're not doing what I think you're doing here because if you have read the rules you'd know this: These games can legaly be downloaded now http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_PSo...h_America) Steam first started legal purchasing and downloading of games, and lot of other companies offer this nowdays. Anyways, lets not forget Xenogears, that was great RPG game for psx 11-13-2012, 03:30 AM
I didn't even know you could do that, but then again I'm only interested in the original physical copies of the games which I can collect. Man you should see the Lunar boxes for PSX, that's an eyegasm you'll never forget.

Technically, Sony and Nintendo are using their own emulators for this as well. But I agree, nothing like having the physical copy. I could go all digital, as long as they give me the manual. I have to say, I hate in-game or on-console manuals. Give me a PDF so I can look at it on my iPod, then we're good. 11-13-2012, 03:51 AM
Well, i for one prefer my regular old game manual but most games are now using downloadable PDFs, all in the name of cutting costs but sold at the same price

Digital games purchased is not my cup of tea. I like to touch and smell old game discs, cartridges, manuals and boxes. The sent of the past is so good. 11-13-2012, 04:08 AM

After some testing with ePSXe 1.8.0 I'd say I can finally archive XEBRA because 1.8.0 is excellent. The only two games I have had problem with in previous ePSXe 1.7.0 were Resident Evil 2 Dual Shock Edition with numerous freezes and Resident Evil 3 with it's infamous black screen before the start screen.
This seems fixed now and the new internal ePSXe 1.8.0 sound core fixed a lot of issues I've had in the past. The only thing I didn't like was the ad they had of buying the Android version via Google Play, they could at least have had that in the About section or something instead. Emus with ads is a minus but I'm not gonna be a douche here being ungrateful, at least this release fixed all my problems so bravo bravo. In other news remember the Glide64 10th Anniversary and the Final Release they did in December last year (29th I think) well it turns out that the Final Release wasn't so final after all, I noticed that they had released and uploaded a new "Final version" in May this year. So for those who have completely forgotten about it here it is: http://code.google.com/p/glidehqplusglit...loads/list When I checked what version I had in Project64 it turned out to be the 29th of December one, now everything is up to date and it feels great. Thanks to this wonderful plugin I have been able to enjoy Paper Mario and Star Wars Shadows of the Empire without flickering for a while now and I recommend it to everyone. |
