Let me put it this way, I've been using ePSXe since 1.5.0 and I have grown fond of it and it's hard to let go.
If you got the right plugins, there isn't much trouble at all. It's true that I have replaced a couple of emulators over the years, Ootake replaced Magic Engine for example. Plugin based emulators isn't the most solid solution but take Project64 as an example, it's one of the few N64 emulators that actually plays all games I have just fine. Glide64 for GFX, Azimer Audio for sound and N-Rage for controls. I just can't let ePSXe go when it have been so long in my life, it's like stop using Dolphin if a new better emulator appeared.
