Looks like there is a new DolphinBar Firmware available. Download is available here: http://www.mayflash.com/Support/Download/
Doesn't look like they updated the version number on the download page, but they have updated the date. Should hopefully fix the burned out LED problem I had. Also stops the LED from blinking incessantly.
From the website:
W010 Upgrade Firmware Ver04 Updates on February 10, 2015
1. The SYNC LED (LED 0) will be off if NO Connecting with the Wiimotes. The SYNC LED (LED 0) will stay lit if connecting with the Wiimotes.
2. The DolphinBar will not enter into the sleep mode while in the Mode 4 (Dolphin Mode) with Windows 8.1 (Some customers feedback this problem before)

As far as I inspected the main board, it's not physically possible to control IR LED voltage through the firmware. However it can turn the IR LEDs on or off whenever it wants...
In other words, there's no way this firmware update can fix the burned out LED problem you had =/

Nah, I meant that it'll prevent it happening again (I bought a new one), rather than fix the old one. Thanks for remembering though!

Yes, what I'm trying to say is no matter what firmware version you have, your LEDs may burn again, although I think it's unlikely (hopefully that issue was caused by a faulty wave)...

I think it was caused by being left on too long. At least I hope so. I have no actual evidence one way or the other. I'm hoping the sleep fix in the latest firmware will address it.

How do I use this updater? The "update firmware" button is greyed out and it says i need to press the sync button the "power it on" to let it enter update mode? How do I do that? Where is the power button? Whenever I press the sync button the lights just flash and it tries to sync with a controller... BAD instructions.

Unplug the Dolphin Bar, hold the sync button, plug it in again while still holding sync.
