New dolphin build... (i7-6700HQ)

Right. I currently have an Alienware 14. (Owned for two years) with an I7-4700MQ and a GTX 765M. I am looking to buy a new laptop.

I'm thinking of an Intel i7-6700HQ and a GTX 970M. Will the 6700HQ be good enough for dolphin? It is two generations newer so I'm guessing a lot of optimizations would have been made.

Actually, not really. There's barely any difference between Skylake and Haswell (none that makes much of a difference in Dolphin, anyway.) The big upgrade going to that laptop will be the GPU.
