New computer

Ah ok. I didn't know Wii games were so demanding. Well I probably won't try to play too many Wii games, maybe just Animal Crossing and Skyward Sword. I am able to spend $1250 on a gaming computer but I think that's my best option. Not too sure.

That link is dead, but as far as I can tell, you're buying a prebuilt system there. If you're willing to buy parts and assemble them (which is much easier than it sounds to most people) you could get a much more powerful system for that kind of budget.

FYI, it's not that Wii games are demanding and GC games aren't. It's a case-by-case basis. Every game was programmed and designed to use GC/Wii hardware differently, so naturally Dolphin will have to emulate each differently. The GC Metroid games are more demanding than say New Super Mario Bros. Wii or Super Smash Bros. Brawl for example.

You really should consider it then, if you're interested in saving some money (you are spending close to $1K here on this rig). Additionally, if you have that much money to spend on Dolphin, is there a specific reason why you want an AMD FX CPU? You'd get significantly more mileage from Dolphin (even without overclocking) with an i5-4670K or any similar Haswell system. IIRC, the FX CPUs generally perform better in heavily-multithreaded applications (video/image editors, compression or encryption, etc), and even then it's not by a great difference compared to Haswell.

With an i5-4670K, for the most part you won't have to worry about what will and won't run fullspeed; it's just a matter of how much you'll have to OC it (and not that much, 3.8GHz~4.0GHz will do the job). Some games don't run fullspeed no matter the hardware in Dolphin, but for everything else, you can't get much faster than Haswell for Dolphin. If you live in the U.S. (and can deal with roughly $75 in shipping ) I'd suggest going with CyberPower to customize the PC to your exact specifications if you don't feel like building it yourself (I didn't want to build my PC either, my current rig was a graduation gift, so... ). I tried configuring a rig just like the one you had in your link, came out to $891 (excluding the aforesaid shipping) but that's not bad given your budget and your goals.
