This week end i tried dolphin on my girlfriend's new notebook:

Processore Intel® Core™ i5-450M
(2.40 GHz, fino a 2,66 GHz con Turbo
Boost Intel®, 3 MB Intel® Smart Cache).
RAM 4 GB. Hard Disk 320 GB.
Scheda grafica ATI Mobility Radeon
HD 5470 da 512 MB dedicata. DVD SM.

The games that i tested were NSMBW and Mario Kart..At 800x600 dolphin can runs at 60 fps, amazing emulation of real console, but on full screen at 1366x766 (something like that...) the situation fall down and it appears like a slowmotion movie! Where is the problem..is the videocard or else?

It's new but a low-end graphics-card so i doubt it can run at higher resolutions.
Try different resolutions

A 5470M is even weaker than a 5450 desktop video card. It's totally insufficient for high resolutions.

If you want to use a high output resolution you'll have to turn off efb scaled copy (to keep the internal resolution from going up) and make sure efb copy is set to texture.

As most people have pointed out, that laptop is no where near a gaming grade laptop. The gfx card is reduced in power compared to that of a desktop version in order to keep the heat down and the same goes for the processor.

You could consider overclocking the processor but in the long run it is just asking for trouble. It is best to use that laptop for it is designed for, word processing, internet browsing and flash games.
