Why do the later builds run poorly on my xz2 which has a Snapdragon 845 and runs really well with build 5.01589, I've tried loads of builds from there up to recent ones and the FPS are quite poor in comparison and I've tried adjusting the settings. I found the build I'm using works well because it was recommended from a YouTube channel so it can't just be me!

Yeah they seem to be, I've tried Mario sunshine, resident evil remake and 4, Mario kart DD and metroid but they work flawlessly on the older build

Try actually completing the games on the old build - it won't work at the performance you're getting.
The new builds use the same automated setting system as desktop builds, meaning that settings required to complete the game (or prevent crashes) are enabled automatically. Some of these features are slower to emulate, but, if you play much of Super Mario Sunshine, you'll quickly realize the game is very broken on the older builds. 07-14-2018, 03:06 AM
To be fair Mario sunshine isn't bad on the new builds but I've got a fair way through some of the other games and they're still running smoothly, one strange thing is metroid run really well apart from the map screen which is by far the least graphically challenging part of the game
