Netplay not working with wii games.

I just recently got into playing netplay with my friends. Everything was working fine with to gamecube games, but when it comes to wii games, we desync as soon as we launch the game. We currently have version 5.0-1880 x64 for trying wii games. We have all the same versions of the game and same settings and versions. We've tried multiple older versions of dolphin to see if they worked to no avail. We've tried tweaking settings and the outcome is the same. Am I missing something or is it just not possible to play wii games on netplay?
