hi ive recently downloaded dolphin to play mario party 4 with friends but when i try to create a netplay session or join one either people cant join it or i cant join, it always says can't communicate with host, all my other friends are able to play
i am using dolphin version 5.0 12260

Here are a few things to try:
Did you make sure the md5 sum of the game file matches the md5 of your friends?
Do you have any antivirus software running on your computer that you can "turn off" or put into game mode?
Try running Dolphin as Admin?
Do you have any super strict firewalls settings on your computer or router?

hi, i have tried running the game with my antivirus and firewall disabled already but it didn't work, i haven't tried running dolphin as an admin, i will try it later. also what is md5?

This is almost definitely a firewall/NAT issue. Typically one can't host games without port forwarding. ISPs or NAT could also prevent the traversal server from working.
