Alright, so I've been trying to get netplay working with my friend on a few games, and I have read through all the guides and resources I could find now I have to ask here. When playing in single core mode without netplay, some games run @ full speed, like double dash for example, and then when we connect to netplay the speed tends to lower to about 60%. Does dolphin require that much more cpu power to emulate the game over netplay as opposed to single player. I figure if I upgrade my old computer and make it fast, this issue may not be a problem anymore, but because I can play the games in single player with single core and they run at full speed, maybe there is something I am missing. I've tried opengl and d9 mostly, are there any real definitive hacks for netplay, or are most of them just prone to desync?
Thanks.
Also my cpu is an i7-2670 @ 2.2 so I know it's slow, and I shouldn't expect it to work perfectly. I'm also using 3.5-1251 which I thought was the latest version with netplay improvements.
Thanks.
