Hello guys, I keep getting this error after solving the lag, and wiimote issue!! Now, every time I start a game with my friend over Netplay I get this error. I am using Dolphin version 4.0- 2797

So basically, I am trying to play New Super Mario Bros. Wii via NetPlay. I tried this before with my friend and it worked but with a massive lag. Now that the lag is gone some how we keep getting the error "Netplay has desynced. There is no way to recover from this." If I dont assign a wiimote to my partner, this error doesn't show up at all. Why would this be happening? Is there any way to fix it? Sad

Because you and your friend don't have a synced Wii NAND. That is the absolute hardest part about setting up for Wii netplay.

A Wii NAND is a dumped Operating System from a Wii. Then you need to do this: https://wiki.dolphin-emu.org/index.php?title=NAND_Usage_Guide

So if I follow those steps, would it solve my Desync? And also some times our Netplay gets stuck at the first loading screen of Wii. Is it due to the same problem?

[EDIT] I tried that link! xD The instruction looks confusing. Do I have to download those files from some where and place it on my Dolphins folder? Sorry guys I am new to all these stuffs.

You have to dump them from your own Wii. Thats the only way to legally get them. (I think you can rip it off of a certain select Wii games, I'm not sure)

Its pretty easy really. Use the Letterbomb exploit to install Homebrew. I used BootMii https://forums.dolphin-emu.org/Thread-howto-nand-dumping-a-comprehensive-guide

Okay let me ask you guys something. What does "Dumping NAND" mean? Does it mean I have to rip my wii game or something? If thats the case can I ask my friend to give me the ripped game?

Rather than any of this, it's best to delete the entire wii folder, and let dolphin regenerate it.

It's also weird that people here are suggesting you dump your own nand because you'd have to share it with the people you are playing with and that would be illegal.
