Hi! I'm having problems connecting through netplay with my friend. We have tried on both 4.0-6554 and the newest version, 4.0-7127.
For some reason, our modems (we have the same modem model and ISP) don't like the traversal server, so we've mostly been trying direct.
Here is a list of things we've done trying to fix this problem, and it, no matter what, says "Failed to Connect!":
I'm able to connect to other players through traversal on Smash Ladder, but only if I'm hosting. Attempting to connect will always fail if I'm not hosting.
My friend and I both have Arris TG1672 modems and our ISP is Time Warner Cable. I've tried everything I could think of to fix this problem over the course of a good 5 hours, and I still haven't found a solution. Does anybody have an idea as to why this is happening?

- Both of our modems are directly wired to our computers through Ethernet
- Completely disabled Windows Firewall, as well as the modem's firewall
- Opened ports 6262 and 2626 on both TCP and UDP, both under Port Triggers and Virtual Servers
- I've even enabled DMZ on both computers for our respective static local IPs
