Netplay can't connect (SSBB)

I'm trying to play Netplay on Super Smash Bros. Brawl.

I've tried with at least 5 people, hosting and joining, but nobody could connect to me and I couldn't to them, while no one else seems to have my problem.

When I hit connect with the code in netplay, it seems to freeze/load for a second but nothing opens and then it unfreezes. This happens no matter how many times I hit connect.

Anybody know how I could fix this?

Your router or firewall could be blocking connection attempts. You may need to manually port forward and not use the traversal server.

Through furthermore exploration of the problem, it seems, that I have no open ports to use with Dolphin and cannot forward any. I have tried everything I could in the router settings (default gateway) but none of them seem to open. It's strange because if I open a bittorrent client, it easily opens a port for its use. Of course though, the port it opens can't be listened to by Dolphin.

So to everyone reading this, I fixed the problem. If you play Brawl with most people you will have to use the client at the following address: https://www.smashladder.com/guides/view/26oy/dolphin-ladder-build-5-0-321
