Netplay BAD_PARAMETER_LENGTH Error

I wanted to play Netplay with my brother for the first time and keep in mind we have the same type of laptop so I try and host a game but then it gives me an error saying "Failed to add this session to the NetPlay index: BAD_PARAMETER_LENGTH" and so I can't host any games or join any games but my brother can and we have the same laptop.
