Just in case, does your machine looks like this? (It´s an image of the SE 15R).

Don´t worry. Smile

I have good news for you, though: the chipset that brings the 17R (Mobile Intel HM77 Express Chipset) allows you to unlock any Intel Core CPU multiplier, allowing you to overclock the processor; and by this, you will be able to improve your performance.

Dell Inspiron 17R SE details (spanish):

Rig 1: Windows 10 Home | AMD A6-1450 @ 600/1000/1400 MHz | AMD Radeon HD Graphics 8250 | 4GB RAM | HP Pavilion TouchSmart 11.

Rig 2: Windows 10 Pro | Intel Core i7-2640M @ 780/2800/3500 MHz | Intel HD 3000 Mobile | 8GB RAM | Dell Latitude 6320.

How difficult is overclocking?

I've briefly read about it in the past, but never really had a reason to try and do it. Also, how easy it to cause damage by doing it?
