Quote:I'd rather you write a proper DirectInput driver that will work out of the box in every system
That is a funny response? Though I explained I can not write driver because my device works on driver-less devices.

Quote:Additionally, looking at the USB HID specification, there's nothing preventing you from using more than one byte to describe an axis, or really any sort of valuator control.
Your incorrect but not that you would know from just reading that information. If it were that easy I would not have to do this Wink

I can see at this point your more interested in debating the validity in my request and assuming I'm less then competent in what I do. I subscribe to the notion the more options, the better. If its a trivial task and it helps someone, why not? People act this way when they are attacked, threatened, or otherwise intolerant.

I have y answer and apologize if I have offended you. That was never my intention.

I don't feel threatened or insulted, just feeling like emulator-specific hacks aren't the greatest way to approach a problem, and that you'd be better off investigating solutions that didn't require things like that.

I could really easily add support for complex math expressions, but I'm not going to, because I don't feel like it's the appropriate way to solve the problem you're having. That's all.

Actually my problem is how to answer the request for use of greater then 8 bits in dolphin. My problem is solved, developer unwilling to help. To allow this to work I need the option in dolphin to do additional math as I have exhausted all other options. Thus again, I have my answer. Emulator-specific hacks are indeed not the best way to solve a problem, I completely agree but in this case its the only option that fits in the project I have. Assuming anything less of that is subjective. I'm well aware of the capabilities and limits of my work. Your response satisfies the requests I get and that is good enough for me.
