Ok probably this is a bit off topic I don't see a reason to use GlovePIE in the Dolphin context if it is I do apologize and feel free to delete the topic or lock it down.

The reason why I say its off topic its the final goal for this, because you can still use GlovePIE for other devices and if so this sw can be useful even in Dolphin.

My objective is to use the wii remote on another application which is irrelevant right now. That application doesn't support the wii mote for operation. I read that GlovePIE can be a solution from what I can understand it just makes a mouse -> wiimote translation, so for the computer your wiimote would act/be has/a mouse.

The problem is I tried to do this it requires some scripts which I cannot understand and have no idea how to do it. Was wondering if anyone here may know the application and knows how to work with it well. If necessary I can even tell on which tool I want to make use of the wiimote but since I don't want to make advertisement to it here I prefer to omit it for now.

Thanks

Annoying people that you are asking help from might have something to do with it. Seriously dude, couldn't even wait 15 hours? Anyway, here's why no one helped you: all you have to do is Google it. Controlling the mouse via wiimote is the most common use of glovepie, and there are a bazillion scripts and tutorials for it out there. Just look at them, study how the scripts work, and adjust as you see fit. Don't worry, it's not rocket science, glovepie scripts work very simply. But it does mean you need to put forth the effort to explore the issue and learn how the thing works. Or just pick up one of the hundreds of guides on the internet that either teach you this stuff, or tell you how to do it without teaching you squat. Either option should get you what you want. But you need to put forth the effort to figure it out; I'm not going to hold your hand after you whined about it taking so long.

If I never even contacted anyone from GlovePIE forum or development how could that happen.

As for your comments you think I didn't check all those youtube and other tutorials on the net before asking for help? I even went to the basic and used a script from a tutorial and followed it as it was said didn't work. I'm not the type of person to come and ask help before trying myself. Initially I thought I could be something wrong and I would really need to learn the script but I understand now that is not the problem since even the basic one doesn't even work.

For example I found Dolphin on my own and configured it and set the wii remotes on my own I had problems but never came here asking I solved it by searching on the net or on my own. First time I came here was only because one game after running more then 10 games successfully. Same for PCSX2.

So basically what I'm saying is the I already searched for solutions this is really a last resort I even told if it was considered off topic to delete it. Maybe its my problem only everyone else can do it easily, maybe its my wii remotes since I'm using the Memorex ones (although they work fine with Dolphin), no idea if its just that simple and I'm not able to use it maybe its a problem on my end.

Alright, I'll help.

http://www.wiimoteproject.com/glovepie-projects/ir-mouse-script/

Give that a try. Works perfectly for me with Glovepie .43 and an official wii remote. Honestly I never had tried it as a mouse before. It's rather cool. It wouldn't be hard to set up a nunchuk as WASD. A little harder to make it work as a joystick though (PPJoy).

Thanks.

For sure its something on my end either the BT stack altought I tried it on laptop (other scripts) and didn't work. I even downloaded and tried with version 0.43 and nothing.

You just have to copy the script and it "Run" while the leds are flashing and the wii remote is connected to the BT (green icon) right?

Maybe its my memorex wii remote :\

I will have to try with a nintendo wii remote but I heard those news ones dont work and I cannot get old ones

Eh what? It works like Dolphin's Pair button did, except it doesn't time out. Hit run, and then hit the 1+2 buttons on the wii remote at the same time. It will connect and the 1 LED will appear constantly (depends on the script, it will be written inside it). As for the "BT (green icon)" bit, I have no idea what you are talking about. Are you running a custom bluetooth stack? Or is that something in the 3rd party wiimote?

Just to check... you DID turn on the sensor bar after you connected right? This is an IR script, and it kind of needs that.

Yap IR bar is on always on in fact. As for the green icon I meant the BT icon on systray mine turns green when paired up. I have a conceptronics BT pen and using Bluesoleil 8.0.395

Also did as you told me basically the other way around of what I was doing, run GlovePIE, load script, Run it and then pair by holding both numeric buttons. Then the BT icon turns green but leds don't stop blinking. I have the same behavior for Dolphin but when I run Dolphin and load a game or check the wiimote menu it stops blinking.

My assumption is that GlovePIE doesn't recognize or detects the memorex remote. Why? Have no idea because these things should be pretty much the same and if Dolphin works with it GlovePIE also I assume.

Bluesoleil might be your problem. I've heard of glovepie supporting it though, so it might just be your 3rd party wiimote. Only one way to find out.

Hell no. Dolphin's and glovepie's tech are completely different and totally unrelated. For example, glovepie works with dual shock 3s and lots of other weird things, and Dolphin works only with Wiimotes (and works a lot better at that).

Quote:Also did as you told me basically the other way around of what I was doing

So there is no confusion, here's the process.
1. Load glovepie
2. Load the script
3. Hit "run" in glovepie
4. Press 1+2 on the wii remote
5. Wiimote lights stop flashing and change to just the 1 LED. Connected.
