I'm looking into getting a new computer, and I'd like one that would be able to run Dolphin, but I know nothing about what I'm looking for. The only emulators I've used before are for the older systems (N64, PSX, etc) so this is all really new and confusing for me. The computer I have now will run it, but only at about 30% if I'm lucky (its old, time for an update lol). So basically my question is, what specific things I need to look for to properly run this?

I AM GOING TO WRITESOMETHING HERE BECAUSE I WAS NOT ABLE TO READ JOINTCOLDS TEXT WITHOUT HURTING MY EYES BECAUSE HE NEITHER USES COMMATA NOR FULLSTOPS NOR ANY OTHER PUNCTUATION MARK.
omg ... ^^
I just unleashed the fury of my caps lock xD
a phenom2 with 3,4Ghz is really good for dolphin.
you dont need a very expensive graphics card. i use a HD5770 and i can play most games at 90% speed to fullspeed in 1920x1200 with 8xAA.
My Rig is [Image: sonic09_126821n0f3_203ttr1.gif] for Dolphin

thanks, you've been really helpful.. I'd like to stay away from spending a ton of money. and no I don't want it just for Dolphin, I'd like to play pc games as well, but I don't play online or anything. I don't care if the games don't run amazingly, just as long as they run ok without lagging. Honestly I don't even know what overclocking means, like I said I'm kinda new at this, and this will be my first time buying my own computer so I don't care about the brand. And do you know where I might be able to find a Phenom 2 the cheapest?
