hmmm what?

sorry man but this isn't the place to ask these kinds of questions, go to the newegg forums, even if you didn't buy from new egg just say you did, they're good guys and know what they're talking about.
My Specs: AMD Phenom II x4 940 3.0ghz - w7/Ubuntu 11.04

For starters, never mess with voltages or timings if you don't even know where to do it. This already indicates you have no prior experience with it, and that makes it very unwise to experiment with on your new system. Personally I'd never go with the advise of changing the voltages just to set the RAM speed to the correct amount. Because it's usually only one simple setting in the BIOS that lets you change it.

Next thing I have to ask you,
You said your Windows was crashing after changing the speed to 1066 in the BIOS, but I need to know something; Since you bought a new system, that includes a new motherboard as well. Did you do a clean install of Windows with this? Because if you haven't done this yet, you should do it. You almost always will run into problems if you continue trying to run your Windows from an old system, (if it even boots at all).

A revolving trout (5500rpm) that creates 700w current to motherboard by spinning. It appears to be on french PETA list for unethical consumer electronics.
