Ive got a pretty powerful machine, I5 3.4 gb quad processor, 16 gb ram and 8 gb on the video card. It starts up, and immediately during the factor 5 logo starts lagging and the sound gets choppy. Any way to fix this so that I can play rogue squadron and have it work? Ask me how to post screen shots and vids and I well. Thanks

What exact model CPU and GPU do you have? (also please update your profile)
You need to get the latest dev build, not the stable build, for this game to be anywhere near fullspeed. 04-03-2016, 09:39 AM

The only 2 things you needed from that is the i5-3570K for the CPU and the AMD 390 for the GPU. (When posting a shitload of data, it's a good idea to put it inside a spoiler box)
As for getting the latest dev build, at the top of this page is a button that says Downloads. The latest Windows build is 4.0-9177 (something happened to the Windows buildbot, so the latest builds don't have a Windows download). After downloading the zip file, extract it to anywhere except for where you have 4.0.2 installed. It will automatically detect your settings from 4.0.2 because the game saves and configuration files are saved in the Global Directory in the My Documents folder. 04-04-2016, 02:05 AM
I downloaded the 4.0-9177 version and its giving me a few errors. "the program cant start because MSVCP140.dll is missing", VCRUNTIME140.dll is missing as well. Rogue squadron II is still laggy and the audio is choppy. Its the 64 bit version. Thanks

Your cpu isn't strong enough to run RS 2 without overclocking. To get proper audio you need to use LLE audio which requires even more out of your CPU. Unless you overclock to above 4.0 GHZ or underclock Dolphin don't expect to run the game smoothly.

Intel Core I7 7700k O.C. @ 4.8 GHZ - Gskill Aegis 16GB DDR4 @ 2400 MHZ - EVGA GTX 980ti SC @ 1425 - 6.1 TB storage - Win 10 Read my reviews or check out my channels below! https://www.youtube.com/icestrike256 https://www.twitch.tv/icestrike256 http://gametyrant.com/?author=580f9e8f2994caaa1f9ead67 04-05-2016, 06:21 PM
To underclock the emulated CPU, go to Config > Advanced, check Enable CPU Clock Override, and set the slider below 100%. You can switch between DSP HLE and DSP LLE in Config > Audio.

I can probably overclock my machine to 4.0 since its water cooled and has like 6 fans
