need help configuring a ps4 controller for emulated wiimote

need help configuring a ps4 controller for emulated wiimote

Question 
I downloaded ds4 to input wrapper to use my ps4 controller to play dolphin with the rumble feature enabled. What would be a good emulated wiimote configuration for a ps4/pc joystick for general purpose wii games? I know games like Sin And Punishment 2 require a reworking/recalibration of the controls to play properly. I would just like a simple setup with most if not all the wii buttons/functions I need to play, say, Super Mario Galaxy 1/2, mapped to the controller; from there I can rework the controls as needed. I noticed there are multiple instances of shake in the emulated wiimote configuration, one on the main window and one more under the nunchuck configuration. Its things like this that i'm not sure where i should map the buttons to. Any and all help would be great!

This is a picture of my current configuration atm, is there anything that would need to be changed?

Unfortunately... there's no such thing. Sad The wii remote is nothing like a DS4. You'll need to make unique configurations for each game depending on what it uses, especially if motion control is involved. That is of course, unless it uses the GameCube Controller or Classic Controller, which are close enough to the DS4 that you can just set a general setup and keep it forever.

And that's the motion controls I'm talking about. Again, it depends on the game. For simple actions such as spinning in mario galaxy or swinging the sword in twilight princess, you can map those shake functions to a button and it will more or less work as a button. For some that has nuance, such as specific flinging motions, it will get harder. Nevertheless, you don't have enough buttons to map every possible use of the Wiimote, so you'll have to enable things for some games and disable things for others. But you'll usually have enough buttons to map everything that a specific game wants. So when using an emulated wiimote, just anticipate adjusting it based on the game you are playing, and it will be alright.

It's complications like this that are why I use a real Wii Remote for anything that requires motion control, and my DS3 for GCpad and my Classic Controller Pro for... classic controller. It's a lot easier.

Yea, those.

In regards to the two instances of shake, which one should it be set on? In the nunchuck config or the main config screen?

The nunchuk shake is for nunchuk shake, and wii remote (main emulated wiimote window) shake is for wiimote shake. Soooo again, depends on the game and how it uses the peripherals. If a game uses the wiimote shake for a function you want to use, map it to a button. If the game uses the nunchuk shake for a function you want to use, map it to a button. It's as simple as that, really.
