I really need someone's help badly for getting my GameCube Controllers to work with my Dolphin 4.0.2

I used Zadig and it works with Dolphin 5.0 - but I have save states that I really want to use on my 4.0.2

I have an older adapter (GC Controller Adapter for PC) that would always work but for some reason it has not today. It was working last Friday. This old adapter is still being read by my computer, however when I troubleshoot it I get the message that it uses 2.0 USB and I need to use a device to work with my USB 3.0 (but it's worked in the past, it did last Friday, I don't know why it won't today).

The new adapter, the GC Controller Adapter for Wii U, which I just bought this evening at GameStop will not work with my 4.0.2 (where I have all my old savestates) but it WILL work on Dolphin 5.0

Can someone help me figure out why I can't run these controllers on my 4.0.2 please? I know you only help with 5.0 but I have so many save states that I still want to use on my 4.0.2 =[

SPECS:
Operating System: Windows 8.1 x64bit
Processor/CPU: Intel® Core™ i7-4700HQ CPU @ 2.40GHz
Video Card/GPU: Nvidia GTXM 880
Memory/RAM: 24 GB
Dolphin Revision Currently Using: 4.02

4.0.2 doesn't include native support for such adapters. (After all, 4.0.2 was released before Nintendo started making those adapters.) If you search the web for a way to use the adapter with regular PC games, you should get it to work in Dolphin 4.0.2, but you won't get the benefits of native support such as not needing to manually map all the buttons and sticks.

Right, I'll look in that direction right now, but I've been having the problem with both my old adapter (which had been working since last Friday except for today) and the new one. What happens is that 5.0 will read just fine with the new adapter. But 4.0.2 will not show the controllers working with either the old or new adapter. What could be the reason for this?

Also these are the only options I have for device with the new adapter plugged in:

DInput/0/Keyboard Mouse
DInput/0/vmultia HID <--- [what is this? I haven't seen this before]
SDL/0/vmultia HID

I really need help, I want to use those old save states =[

edit #1: bump :/
