Hello all you fine ladies and gentlemen of the dolphin forums

On a friends recommendation, I recently got Xenoblade Chronicles and the latest version of Dolphin.
In addition, I added HD textures and unlocked the framerate to 60FPS.

Now, my gaming laptop is quite beefy. Its a Sager NP 9876 with 2 1080 cards in SLI.
I am pretty sure I should run the game with no problem, yet I am still getting slowdown and choppy audio.

I have a suspicion that it has something to do with the settings, but I am far from an expert.
So that I why I am turning to you all for help. Any recommended settings to get the game running as buttery smooth as I know it can?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Sincerely
Leaf
Big Grin

Thanks for the fast reply!
On Gforce Experience I have AA off
I have audio stretching enabled and CubeB

V-sync is on and I have custom textures enabled.

Other than that, everything is default. I try not to fiddle too much with stuff I don't understand.
After I get everything nice and smooth in Native I wanna try to up the IR if my PC can handle it. But not yet.

I don´t think you should need V-Sync.

Did you enable "Prefecth Custom Textures"? That will load the whole texture pack into RAM instead of making Dolphin read it from your hard disk (RAM is a lot faster). Though, I´m pretty sure you´re using the SSD?

You should also be using Async Ubershaders (ONLY if using D3D), and "Compile Shaders Before Starting".
Rig 1: Windows 10 Home | AMD A6-1450 @ 600/1000/1400 MHz | AMD Radeon HD Graphics 8250 | 4GB RAM | HP Pavilion TouchSmart 11.

Rig 2: Windows 10 Pro | Intel Core i7-2640M @ 780/2800/3500 MHz | Intel HD 3000 Mobile | 8GB RAM | Dell Latitude 6320.

That seems to have done the trick!
Thanks a million!

I still seem to be getting some intermittent audio chop and some slowdown, particularly in menus.
Any other ideas to optimize my gaming experience?

Sorry to bring a dead thread back, but I am still having a bit of trouble.

I am getting an occasional audio skip and lag.
I know my computer has the juice to run it full steam ahead. but its still going slow.
Any advice to smoothen things out????

Couple of things to check:
Do a restart of your computer (not a shutdown, the actual restart command)
Check Windows Power Options to make sure you're using a high performance power plan
Check the Nvidia Control panel to make a Dolphin profile, and set the power management to high performance

Because you're using the 60FPS code, try overclocking the wii's processor in override settings in dolphin to see if that fixes it, because some people have reported this speeding it up. Of course it might not, but it's worth trying.
