Hello there!
I am having issues playing NBA Jam on both of my laptops. It seems to be the same issue that others have fixed in the past, but i have had no success. It seems as though my game is only running at about half of the speed. Below are my two test setups.

Scenario 1: MacBook Air
1.6GHz Core2Duo
4GB DDR3 @ 1066
NVIDIA 320M 256MB of SHARED ram
Windows 7 x64

Tested:
2.0 official
r4775 x64
r6298 x64
r6649 x64

NOTE: ALL RELEASES WERE BOTH TESTED WITH DX9 AND OPENGL

All of these have the same problem, I began to assume that the MacBook Air simply wasn't powerful enough....

Scenario 2: MacBook Pro
2.8GHz Core2Duo
4GB DDR3 @ 1066
NVIDIA 9600GT 512MB of DEDICATED ram
Windows 7 x86

Tested:
2.0 official
r4775 x86
r6298 x86
r6650 x86

NOTE: ALL RELEASES WERE BOTH TESTED WITH DX9 AND OPENGL

Same problem that my MacBook Air has, except it is 8 pounds heavier. Tongue Constantly running at 30 fps.

As i am writing this, i am installing x64 on my MacBook Pro because i read that 64bit windows actually emulates the Wii faster. Any other suggestions would be much appreciated as i will be going to the middle of nowhere for xmas and could use a source of entertainment.

Thanks in advance,
Brandon

You'll need a recent version like r6649. Uncheck "Progressive scan" in the Display tab of the Dolphin options. That is the only setting that I have noticed which cuts the speed of NBA JAM in half.

Thanks for the reply, but i am not sure you even read what I wrote. I have tested r6649. Let me quote it here so you can read it this time.

What I mean is do not use "2.0 official", "r4775 x64", or "r6298 x64" but use "r6649 x64". Secondly, untick "Progressive scan" in the options. If that does not work, I do not know what is wrong with your mac.

I had already had that unchecked. Is there a possibility that a 2.8GHz core2duo simply cannot produce enough power to run this game?

On a 2.8ghz Core2Duo, NBA JAM should be running at about 33fps.
