I am currently trying to learn how to speed run Oot and want to use a 64 controller. I really enjoy Dolphin and was wondering if there is anyway I can get it to work. I'm running it on a Mac if that's any help.
N64 Controller?

Do you have an N64 to USB adapter for it? That would be the first step!

Yes I do indeed. By default I guess dolphin only recognizes gamecube and wiimotes?

If you configure a "Standard Controller" under GameCube Controllers, you can probably select the N64 controller under Devices (by default it's set to Keyboard+Mouse).

This. If you can connect your N64 controller to your computer, you can use it in Dolphin just like a generic gamepad by mapping its buttons to an emulated controller. 08-08-2015, 07:25 AM
Thank you, it didnt seem like it was reading the controller originally and I tought I might need an external program for it to read the controller. I've got the buttons mapped now, however it doesnt seem to be controling the game. Any suggestions, thanks again for the help.
Well its a n64 controller. This is what the controller screen looks like after choosing the inputs. http://imgur.com/Zt2RshY
