Quote:Mario Galaxy runs at 20 to 35 FPS.If you use the "correct settings" for that game (disable"skip EFB to CPU access" for example) , you can't even maintain 10 FPS ingame You are overestimating the power of your old CPU Even my laptop is too weak for Dolphin . I tried , only 30 FPS (halfspeed) with LLE on and Skip EFB to CPU access off , OpenGL - Dolphin 4.0.1 . A8 4500M is even weaker than most i3 first gen processors.... notebookcheck Wrote:If compared to Intels Core-i3-series, the A8-4500M offers less performance in most cases. Nonetheless, CPU performance from the AMD processor should be sufficient for all daily workloads like Office, Internet browsing and even light video editing or gaming.http://www.notebookcheck.net/AMD-A-Serie...884.0.html Laptop: Mini PC :: 10-28-2013, 07:46 AM

@NaturalViolence: I know how did you feel about what I said. I was even expecting lower speed in SMG with LLE, like you did. But there are some things that just happen, no matter if you believe them or not.
@admin89: I didn´t use OGL, I used DX9 in Dolphin 4.0. And I´m not overestimating nothing. @O.P.: Xenoblade and Last Story: NEVER. NSMBW and TLoZ-TP: probably. Don´t know about the others. You're lying then . Base on CPU clockspeed alone , your result should be less than half of my result . And i not even mention about cpu architecture
DX9 is even worse Edit : @Op xenoblade : High-end CPU like i5 4670k @ 3.4GHz (not OC) , mid range GPU like AMD 7750 for 3x Internal Resolution (1920x1584) , no AA , 16x AF the last story : Top of the line CPU like i5 4670k @ 4.2GHz or higher , same new super mario bros : Mid-range CPU like A10 6800k , AMD 8350 stock speed if you don't need "Coin spin" (EFB copies to texture) otherwise faster CPU or OC is recommended zelda twilight princess : Same as The last story (Hyrule Field only ) , most other parts should run full speed with a low-mid range PC mad world , resident evil rebirth : I don't know Btw , Mario Galaxy : Same as Xenoblade Laptop: Mini PC :: 10-28-2013, 12:05 PM

Doesn't matter. Those speeds should not be possible on DJBarrys CPU which will create a massive bottleneck under every scenario. At least not on average. Maybe in the very fastest areas he got those speeds but getting average speeds in that range would only be possible if he has some magic build that allows dolphin to run three times as fast as it does for everyone else. My cpu is 5 times as fast as his and I get around twice that speed with a cpu bottleneck. Logically something has to be wrong with his test.

Quote: Maybe in the very fastest areas he got those speeds...I was precisely referring to those "fast" areas (now that´s what I call a good deduction NaturalViolence! Way to go!). And about the average, I will look forward to do it again so I no longer have mistakes in the FPS count.
